Who this covers

This policy applies to Dog Obedience Guy(“I”, “me”) and to this website, dogobedienceguy.com.au. It is written to align with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What I collect

When you submit the enquiry form I collect the information you choose to give me: your name, email address, phone number, your general area, your dog’s name, age and breed, and whatever you write in the message.

If you call, text or email me directly, I collect whatever you share in that conversation.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 if it has been enabled, which collects anonymised usage data — pages visited, approximate location, device type, and how you arrived. It does not identify you personally. Your browser’s IP address is briefly processed by the site to rate-limit the enquiry form against spam; it is not stored.

Why I collect it

To reply to your enquiry, to work out what your dog needs, to arrange and deliver a session, and to follow up afterwards. That is it.

Who I share it with

Enquiry form submissions are transmitted to a customer-management system used to keep track of enquiries. Beyond that, I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for marketing.

I may disclose information where required by law, or where it is necessary to prevent a serious threat to health or safety.

How it is stored

Information is held in email and in the customer-management system described above. I take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. If Google Analytics is enabled, it sets its own cookies for usage measurement. You can block or delete these through your browser settings without affecting how the site works.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email dogobedienceguy@hotmail.com and I will action it. There is no charge.

Complaints

If you think I have mishandled your information, contact me first at dogobedienceguy@hotmail.com. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
